I can not encourage you more to apply for an Inspire residence with The National Trust of Western Australia. I was very lucky to have won a place in 2021 at Woodbridge – National Trust Place and wrote nineteen poems over the fifteen day residency. The stipend is a generous five thousand dollars, a rarity for writers to be paid so well to work. The archives, the property and surrounds, volunteers and friendly staff opened up new avenues for me and my writing. I encourage you to research the properties well and a must is to go to the property itself before writing your application. Please view my youtube video/conversation at Woodbridge (previous post) for further tips on my approach and inspiration.
