Poetry Features

Voicebox Fremantle

Thank you to Voicebox Fremantle for inviting me to feature for October 2021. It was an opportunity to share my poems from the Westerly Writers’ Development program and Inspire residency at Woodbridge, courtesy of The National Trust of W.A. Joining me was Nandi Chinna, who was also writer-in-residence and the one and only, Scott-Patrick Mitchell who gave us a sneak preview of some of his poems coming out in his new collection, Clean. It was fascinating to hear Nandi picking up on similar and different parts of the residency, but with new perspectives.

Wellness Poetry – W.A.P.I Perth Poetry Festival

Leonard James has organised a handful of feature poets: Michael James, Aydan Lesina, Lana Moon and myself tomorrow at Holyrood Pavillion (cnr Cambridge St. and Holyrood Park) West Leederville at 11am. It’s free and there’s open mic, snacks, coffee and tea.

Duck and Dash Poetry

Thank you to Leonard James for inviting me to be one of the feature poets for Duck and Dash Poetry exploring the themes: love and grief. It was a poignant poetry end to a testing year for everyone.

Perth Poetry Club

I was very fortunate to have two poetry features this year at the invitation of The Perth Poetry Club. https://www.perthpoetryclub.com/

Despite the pandemic Raj and I were able to double feature at The Perth Poetry Club via zoom. This enabled attendees from around the globe to attend.

Perth Poetry Club

It was such a buzz being invited by The Perth Poetry Club for my very first poetry feature at The Moon Cafe. Draz and I performed a single feature each on a hot Perth summer’s day.
